OYAMA warranties its bicycle frames, batteries & electronics, and parts. Certain individual component warranties and local law may supersede this warranty policy.

Frame- 5 years

Battery & electronics- 2 years

Parts- 1 year

This warranty only covers OYAMA bicycles sold through authorized OYAMA resellers and maintained per our recommended scheduled maintenance described below.

This warranty applies to the original retail purchaser of the bicycle and is non-transferable. Further, for the warranty to apply, new OYAMA bicycles must be assembled and adjusted by an authorized reseller.

This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of a defective frame, batteries & electronics, and parts and is the sole remedy of the warranty.

Any replacement warranty item is covered by the original warranty term from the purchase date of the complete bicycle.

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, abuse, stunt riding, commercial use, improper assembly or maintenance, installation of parts or accessories not originally intended or compatible, installation of power systems such as engines or electric motors, damage due to accident, weather or neglect, or modification of the bicycle.

Proper care of your OYAMA bicycle and warranty coverage requires regular maintenance, inspection, and adjustment at the bicycle owner’s expense. OYAMA reserves the right to deny warrant claims in the absence of proper maintenance records.

We recommend inspecting your OYAMA bicycle for properly tensioned folding latches, free play, as well as changes in ride quality after every ride. Any changes should be checked and adjusted before the next ride.

When you are unsure about a function or how to use your OYAMA bicycle (such as folding, unfolding, adjustment, shifting, and braking), return with it to your authorized OYAMA reseller for instruction.

A defect in material or workmanship is defined as “a flaw, failure, or cosmetic blemish caused by the manufacturing process or material that was not consistent with the original design.”

This warranty implies no strength or fatigue value beyond regional government standards. This warranty does not mean “indestructible” as all materials can fail if pushed beyond design and manufacturing limits.

Wear items are defined as tires, tubes, brake pads, brake and gear cables, housing, chains, gears, grips, and saddles. All of these items are subject to varying wear life depending on use, load, weather, road conditions etc. Premature wear or “defect” will be taken into account in any warranty claim involving a wear item.

This warranty does not cover any and all damage resulting from Commercial use, accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, improper maintenance, or from anything other than normal and ordinary use of the bicycle.

It does not cover damage resulting from off-road or stunt riding, multiple passengers, or cargo hauling.

This warranty does not cover any and all paint damage, rust, or modifications made to the bicycle.

All OYAMA warranty claims must be made through an Authorized OYAMA reseller. When possible, bring your OYAMA bicycle to the original reseller. If this is not possible, consult the Dealer Locator on our website to find the nearest OYAMA authorized reseller.

Proof of purchase, the complete bicycle, photos of the complete bicycle condition, serial number, and detailed photos of the component in question must accompany all warranty claims.

All shipping and transport costs are the responsibility of the bicycle owner.

Labor costs beyond what your original reseller offers are the responsibility of the bicycle owner.

All warranty claims are subject to assessment by OYAMA.

Warranty replacement will not be given for components not returned (if requested) to OYAMA.

The consumer should be aware that bicycle specifications may be subject to change without notice.

NOTE: This warranty does not affect the statutory rights of the consumer.  Where applicable, local laws take precedent over this warranty contract.
